Condition Report:
In overall good restored condition. As specified in the cataloguing, the mounts have been re-gilt. The mounts with minor tarnishing. The escutcheons, handles, foliate mounts in between the drawers, corner mounts, chutes and feet are later and probably associated. Minor old marks and scratches to ebonised wood, consistent with age and use. Some cracks have now been stabilized. Evidence of an old woodworm activity which no longer appears to be active. The leather surface in good condition with some stains and wear all consistent with age and use. Decorative and ready to place. One key.
