A Louis XV gilt-bronze mounted kingwood bureau plat, mid-18th century
the red leather top above three frieze drawers to one side, the other side with dummy drawers, raised on four cabriole legs

Condition Report:
In overall good conserved condition.
As should be visible from the images, the leather top presents extensive signs of wear with marks, scratches, indents, and variations in colour.
Minor losses to veneers (for example see the back of legs, drawer edges) which are not distracting, but otherwise minor age craquelure and lifting due to the natural aging of the woods. The right handside edges of the left frontal drawer slightly loose and with losses to veneer and would benefit from further attention. Fading to one side.
The mounts with minor rubbing and signs of cleaning (residual dried white paste).
At the time of cataloguing, all drawers unlocked and two keys are present.
