Surmounted by a green and red breche marble top, stamped twice underneath the marble, L. CUEUNIERES JNE EBENISTE.

Provenance: Property from the Collection of Mary and Lou Silver, Indian Wells, California.

Cueunieres was an ebeniste, specializing in 18th century style cabinet making, active in Paris from circa 1870. He had his own stand at the Paris Exposition Internationale Universelle of 1900 where he was awarded the Silver medal. He produced work regularly for the prestigious firm of l Escalier de Cristal in Paris.
Condition Report: The marble top with break and repair to back left corner. The case in overall good condition, with a small crack, movement and loss to lower hinge of left door. General mild toning to gilt bronze. The interior lock a little loose due to some screws missing. A small loss of veneer to front center of skirt. Cabinet has key.
