A Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Mahogany Cabinet paul sormani, early 20th century having a rectangular marble top of breakfront outline above the conforming case with an open niche above a tambour door opening to shelves, flanked on each side by a paneled door and a mount cast to show a musical trophy surrounded by young satyrs and scrolling grapevines, the whole raised on square tapering legs, the case stamped SORMANI/ PARIS twice. Height 42 3/4 x width 47 x depth 15 inches.
Condition Report: Property from the Estate of Miriam Ann Trahan, Naples, Florida

Area of loss to the top of the case (under the marble; not visible from the outside) approximately 7 5/8 x 3 1/8 inches. Sturdy and attractive overall; minor scratches and surface wear consistent with age. Small losses to the molding barely visible under the marble top from the outside. Marble top with some filled/repaired areas, but no complete breaks. Tambour doors work smoothly. Additional images available upon request.
