A Louis XV/XVI Transitional Inlaid Gilt-Metal and 'Sevres' Porcelain Mounted Tulipwood Table en Chiffonnière, the Table circa 1775; the Porcelain probably added in the 19th century

in the Manner of Martin Carlin, the circular cross-banded top fitted with a 'Sèvres' ivory-ground roundel with floral sprigs, within a tasseled drapery-hung pierced gallery, the frieze containing a shallow drawer with leaf-tip encadrement, and raised on three chamfered legs fitted with bow-knotted pendent fruit clusters, joined by a circular shelf with pierced gilt-bronze gallery, in turn raised on acanthus-mounted hipped cabriole legs ending in lion's paw feet.

Condition Report:
Right cabriole leg with small loss of veneer 1/2 by 1/2 in. , left leg with some minor lifting of veneer, back leg with four small losses of veneer and some miniscule veneer cracks. Underside at top with veneer losses, the inside drawer with hairline crack. Overall in good condition, attractive table.
