A MASSIVE SANCAI-GLAZED MODEL OF AN OFFICIAL

Standing on a sancai splashed base with shaped apertures, wearing elegant long flowing robes and surcoat with voluminous sleeves, cascading down to a pleated hem, revealing upturned shoes at the base, the hands concealed and clasped together holding a tablet, the painted moustached face with slightly-down-cast eyes, wearing a tall official's hat decorated with florettes on the central arch. 101cm (39 3/4in) high.
