A Japanese pottery vase of ovoid form with waisted neck with everted rim decorated in overglaze enamels and gilding with panels to either side depicting acolytes before legendary figures in a landscape setting. Each vignette within an elaborate diaper border, the neck and foot with similar bands, unmarked.

Measures 16 x 5 inches.
