painted in underglaze-blue with a bird perched on a branch of a large flowering plant between diaper and lines borders at the rim and foot, the handle painted with a trailing stem and flanked by further flowering branches, crossed swords and dot mark and painter' numeral 22. in underglaze-blue, the contemporary mounts probably Dresden, city mark unclear, date letter incuse N for 1738 if Dresden, maker's mark A? in outlined oval.
