mark of Johann Philipp Heckenauer, Augsburg, 1757/ 9, of lobed oval form on a spreading scalloped foot, the hinged cover with a shell-form thumbpiece, the interior gilt, engraved with a coronet and coat of arms. 7.7cm high, 12.5cm long, 7.5 troy ounces
The marks are clear. The hinge is in good order, and the cover closes well. One section of the foot is slightly misshapen but will straighten easily. In good original condition with a nice patina.
