with a later Dutch import mark, of oval form, the cover with a cast cage mount depicting a pair of lovers sitting under trees in a garden with a peacock surrounded by architectural scrolls, over a panel of mother-of-pearl, the sides and base engraved with flowers and scrolls, the underside of the cover later engraved with a coat of arms. 9.2cm long, 7cm wide, 4.2 troy ounces gross
There is a crease in the engraved panel on the underside of the cover. One end of the base is slightly loose from the sides. In otherwise good condition commensurate with age.
