Description
with poppy finial and carved winged dragon to the elbow. Provenance (confirmed) - Ex Great St Mary’s Church, Cambridge (both the city’s church and that of Cambridge University), Understood to date to circa 1863 when it was carved to replace the box pews in the nave. Subsequently removed in the 1950’s when two rows of pews were removed from the front and back of the nave.
