Kentucky rifle with military style architecture. Full octagon rifled barrel with blade front sight and notched rear sight. Full curly maple stock with brass hardware including brass 2 piece patchbox and military style buttplate. Gun has flint lock with plate marked "Dreppert" on inside, barrel is marked "SB" in oval touchmark on bottom of barrel. Possible reuse of some military parts in construction of a rifle. CONDITION: Metal parts exhibit remnants of old pitting. Brass has golden patina. Lock looks like period piece with some internal parts replaced. Stock has been repaired at wrist and in front of trigger guard with an expert job being performed. Forestock has a break that has been repaired. Lock is sticky but functions.
