Of honzukuri, iorimune configuration, with a chu-gissaki point and shallow toriizori curvature, forged in itame hada mixed with mokume hada and with a gunome midare tempered edge based in nie and nioi with ko-ashi, ending in a ko-maru boshi, the omote side carved with the Buddhist invocation Namu Myoho Renge Kyo, and the ura with a constellation and Nansho (Hard-fought victory), the tang o-suriage, machi-okuri with indistinct file marks, two holes, and inscribed on the omote side Nissin koa sankiraku, 22in (55.8cm) long, with a one-piece silver habaki, in a wood shirasaya storage scabbard
