A MONOCHROME CAFÉ-AU-LAIT-GLAZED BOWL, KANGXI PERIOD
China, 1662-1722. The bowl with deep rounded sides supported on a straight foot, covered overall in a rich and lustrous café-au-lait glaze of a glossy toffee-brown tone, thinning at the rim.
Provenance: From an old German diplomatic collection, and thence by descent to the present owner.
Condition: Very good condition with light wear, minimal surface scratches, and firing irregularities such as little pitting.
