A MONUMNENTAL CHINESE EXPORT SILVER RACING CUP AND COVER, RETAILED BY WANG HING, CANTON, CIRCA 1880

the body profudely chased with village scenes around a central vacant cartouche, above panels of chysantemum, lily and bamboo plants, twin ornate dragon scroll handles, the foliate embossed stem and foot applied with three supporting dragons, the stepped domed cover similary embossed below a racing foal finial, stamped WH 90 and with late Dutch control marks, on an ornate hardwood stand

6683gr., 150oz. 10dwt.

Condition Report:
Clearly marked to the underside. The cover and body both with Dutch control marks. The cartouche has been erased at some point but is not thin. The cover fits a little loosely to the body. No obvious breaks or repairs. Very good heavy gauge. The hardwood base possibly associated. Good overall.
