Of typical shape, with two-tone lobed, volute-like panels at the bottom and top, surmounted by a mother-of-pearl and ebony-inlaid crescent, the two-tone panels inlaid with Westernised fleshy vegetal scrolls spraying outwards from the centre, a roundel decorated with a pseudo-Ottoman tughra, the central panel enhanced with fine and exquisite marquetry work with tesserae of mother-of-pearl, coloured woods and ebony arranged in star-shaped designs, and geometric and fretwork bands, 102cm x 38cm.
