A MOTTLED GREY JADE FIGURE OF A SEATED SAGE

Finely carved in the round, the bearded deity wearing a long voluminous robe under a straw cape, a leafy apron tied at his waist with a pair of long ropes draped between the legs, his hands under the sleeves placed on his right lap, adorned with possibly a double-gourd on a string diagonally draped over the right shoulder, his feet bare, the platform rock throne waisted and perforated, the stone tinted black to create contrast and the feeling of antiquity; wooden base.
