the hinged rosewood lid inlaid with a lute, guitar entwined with poppies, cornflowers and buttercups, with satinwood stringing and kingwood banding with a moulded ebonized edge
height 12 ½ in.; width 38 in.; depth 18 ½ in.

Condition Report:
In good conserved condition with very minor nicks, scrapes, and losses to surfaces of box consistent with age and use. Very minor lifting to central marquetry cartouche on lid. Old repaired age split to lid. Works very well and cylinders appear to be in very good condition.
