A Mamluk brass pouring vessel, probably Egypt, 15th/16th century

of rounded form, inverting conical sides and small spout, the exterior engraved with knotted details and arabesques, interspersed with roundels containing key-fret pattern and alternating cartouches, two containing inscriptions

20.5cm diam.

Condition Report:
In general good condition, some minor pitting and oxidisation to interior, slight dents and one small crack to edge, the spout possibly replaced or fixed, underside with scratches and some pitting consistent with age and use, some rubbing to surface as viewed.
