A Matched Set of Four Dixon, Austin & Co Pearlware Figures of the Seasons, circa 1820, each as a classical figure, painted in colours and lustre on titled square bases, impressed marks, 24cm high; A Whieldon-Type Creamware Figure of a Girl, carrying a basket, 11cm high; A Pearlware Figure of Venus, standing with a child and dolphin on a rectangular plinth, 17cm high; A Similar Figure of Charity, standing with two children on a rectangular plinth, 20cm high; and A Pearlware Figure of Ceres, probably Portobello, standing holding a cornucopia on a mound base, 20.5cm high (8)
Condition Report:
. Dixon, Austin & Co. four seasons Autumn and Spring with repair to the necks. Lustre wear and base chips throughout. Whieldon figure with some small base chips. Pearlware venus with a firing tear to the reverse, base chips and crazed. Figure of Charity with chips to the base. Ceres with small base chips, no restoration.
