A Meissen coffee pot and cover, circa 1730
Each side finely painted in Schwarzlot with a harbour scene depicting figures, buildings and sailing ships at anchor, within a gilt scrollwork cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and edged with brown-edged purple scrollwork, swags and vases on trellis panels, the handle, front and back painted in purple monochrome with indianische Blumen, gilt scrollwork border to the rim, the domed cover with a continuous scene above iron-red lines and between gilt bands, the ball finial gilt, 20cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 17. to both (very minor flaking to gilding) (2)
