A Meissen porcelain candlestick with a gardener boy
Depicting a man in courtly attire sitting in the fork of a tree. The candle nozzles held in two tendril wrapped tree trunks. Blue crossed swords mark on the back of the plinth, unglazed base. With later screws in the restored spouts. H 20.5, W 22.5 cm.
Model by Johann Joachim Kaendler, 1749.
