A Meissen porcelain coffee pot with chinoiseries
With original lid. Both sides of the vessel and the lid painted with chinoiserie scenes in gilt edged quartrefoil surrounds. Blue crossed swords mark. The finial reattached. A small chip to the tip of the spout and the upper rim of the pot restored. Loss to the purple ground retouched. H with lid 16.6 cm.
Circa 1730 – 40, decor attributed to the workshop of Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt.
