A Meissen porcelain cup and saucer with landscape decor
Octagonal cup and saucer painted with three gilt rocaille cartouches containing finely painted scenes of harbours and horsemen in water landscapes. Blue crossed swords mark, incised mark II in the basal ring, gold "D.". The saucer with a small restored rim chip, a minute restored rim chip to the cup with a fine hairline crack (3 cm).
Circa 1735 – 40, decor attributed to Christian Friedrich Herold.
