A Meissen porcelain milk jug from the Third Half Figure Service
Pear-form jug with a rounded handle and small triangular spout. Decorated to each side with large purple lustre cartouches hung with coloured leaves in puce and iron red containing finely painted exotic figural scenes. With "indianische blumen" below the spout and beside the handle, and two Chinoiserie figures drinking tea to the lid. Enamelled crossed swords mark. Minor wear to the gilt edging. Restorations to the edge of the lid. H 12.3 cm.
