A Mesopotamian terracotta figure of Ishtar (Astarte), c. 1900 - 1600 BC, wearing a long gown, low headdress, necklaces and bracelets, her features are nicely modeled, and her hand are joined below her breast. H: 6 in (15.2 cm). Light surface weathering and deposits. Custom lucite base. Ex collection of Riesa and Harold Howard.
