This impressive six-arm chandelier in the Empire style is an extraordinary example of the important French bronzing tradition. The dominant black-patinated central star globe has a central ring with six swan-shaped appliqués. Above these are a total of two crowns, one in the form of acanthus leaves, the other representing the finial of the chandelier in the form of vases of flowers. In a vertical downward line, the chandelier is decorated with pineapple heads. Electrified, and in excellent condition.
