CHARLES, PARIS, MID/LATE 19TH CENTURY, the festive brass bead string inlaid with an applied split bobbin turned molding over a like inlaid frieze above a machine turned face dial with enameled Roman numerals surrounded by relief repeating floret medallions issuing leafy waves, the clockworks marked "J. Charles, Paris," hung with a relief fruiting floret pendulum, flanked by swirling ormolu mounted bead string inlaid columns, and a stepped bead string inlaid plinth base on square feet.
