A NAPOLEON III GILT METAL AND ENAMEL PLAQUE MOUNTED ALABASTER MANTLE CLOCK, 1860s, with a scrolling armed classical urn suspending berried laurel garlands and surmounted by a paired loving birds cast finial, above a rectangular case with breakfront canted corners fitted with sinuous curling stems, flanking a circular beaded bezel and bleu celeste ground dial enclosing bleu nouveau Roman chapters and spear form hands, surrounded by rings of painted flowers and pearls above twin key escapements, verso brass clockworks stamped with an oval "REGNAULT A PARIS / 919 /5 2," including pendulum numbered "919," supported by a short fluted columnar socle with beaded trim on a conforming demi-lune molded base, centering a fleur de lys and strapwork cast cartouche framing a bleu ground oval enamel panel with floral bouquet decoration, flanked by similarly detailed oval enamel plaques wrapped within rounded frames on long side arms ending in budding clusters and stylized curved foliage, raised on beaded toupie feet. Condition Report: Good condition for clocks of this age, use and materials including but not limited to normal surface buildup, minor scratches, one corner chipped, gilding wear and areas re-gilt, some faint hairlines and expected crazing on dial face, lacking back cover and old repairs.
