A NEOCLASSICAL STYLE VERDE ANTICO AND BELGE NOIR MARBLE OPEN ESCAPEMENT CLOCK, FRENCH, CIRCA 1880, the fluted drum form clock face fitted with a wide beveled window opening to reveal a white enameled wheel dial with black Roman numeral hour marks centering a recessed open escapement mechanism and dual key chambers, the clockworks marked with numbers 3494 and 9-2, pendulum marked, "Made in France," upheld by unfurling volutes and cavetto molding in alternating green and black marble, raised on rectangular plinth base. Height: 12" Width: 19 1/2" Depth: 6" Provenance: Lifelong Collection of Clocks and Antiques, Navasota, Texas.
