See Christie's 19 March 2009, lot 10, for a larger pair of rouge marble columnar pedestals by the firm
Condition Report:
The top is circa 15cm square. The column bears the usual minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use, and the gilding is a little scuffed in places. There is a horizontal restoration across the shaft, near the top, and another smaller restored section towards the base. The marble base bears three or four chips to the edges and corners, and a section of the green serpentine veneer is damaged. The corners of the top have two drilled circular apertures, and something may have previously been mounted to it.
