Mexico, 200 BC-200 AD

The female figure shown kneeling, with the lower legs tucked under the torso. She wears a simple skirt, the top half nude and adorned with body paint, the head tilted slightly to one side and mouth open. The left arm clutched in towards the body, the right held aloft as if presenting an offering.
