A North European pine box seat/hall bench, first half 19th century, with forward hinging seat and front, 102cm high, 184cm wide, 46cm deepProvenance: Private Collection, BerkshireCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, Old splits and cracks,the whole front of the bench hinges forward and not just the seat, it is secured by two hooks to the back - these are present and holding securely at time of reportThe seat with wear, watermarks and stains, it would properly benefit from a sympathetic clean and polish. Some signs of old filler to the old splits and cracks. The hinges have been moved to the interior, they appear to still be the originals, just re-sited. Condition Report Disclaimer
