A PAIR OF CARVED RED-OVERLAY YELLOW GLASS BOTTLE VASES, 18TH-19TH CENTURY

China. Each finely carved through the semi-transparent ruby-red outer layer to the translucent lemon-yellow body in low relief with six chilong clambering on the bulbous body and tall cylindrical neck, framed by bands of overlapping stiff leaves at the shoulder and below the rim.
