A PAIR OF CAST IRON MATCH HOLDERS
A wonderful pair of cast iron match holders. (A) A match holder in the form of a cast iron stove, marked "Compliments of The Bridgeford & Company Louisville, Kentucky 1910." CONDITION: The holder shows original black paint, with some areas of paint loss at the date of "1910" inscribed in the top, as well as the words "Stoves," "Ranges" and "Economist." (B) A cast iron match holder in the form of a cucumber with a snail located on top. It has a hinge to open to hold the matches and a match striker on the inside of the lid. CONDITION: The holder shows no breaks, cracks or repairs, with aged original paint and patina. Condition: (Very Good) Dimensions: 4" X 4" X 3"
