A similar pair of Guangxu bowls, donated by Hugh Moss to the Hong Kong Museum of Art, were featured in the museum's exhibition 'The Wonders of the Potter's Palette', 1984, catalogue No.113. It has been noted that this colour is also known in China as 'fine gold'.
