A PAIR OF CINNABAR LACQUER RECTANGULAR JARDINIERES
18th century
Supported on bracket feet, with canted corners, variously carved to each side with panels of flowering plants including peony, prunus, rose, narcissus and camellia, on a green floral diaper ground, bordered by scrolling lotus, the everted rims with shou medallions on geometric grounds, the interiors and bases lacquered black.
