A PAIR OF DESKTOP INKWELLS

A wonderful pair of cast iron and bronze desktop inkwells. (A) An inkwell in the form of a elk with glass eyes. The antlers serve as the pen holder, marked for the Zimmerman Foundry. CONDITION: A great figural inkwell missing the glass insert. It has a great aged patina with no breaks, cracks or repairs. (B) A cast bronze walrus with original tin inkwell mounted to a marble base. CONDITION: There are some areas of polychrome paint loss to the raised areas, however this gives it a great aged patina. There are no breaks, cracks or repairs.
