A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE 'WANG XIZHI' VASES
Qianlong six-character mark, Republic
Of baluster form, decorated in mirror image with two quatrefoil panels each depicting a scene of Wang Xizhi observing geese beside a boy attendant, and further pomegranate-shaped panels enclosing antiques, against a puce ground reserved with scrolling foliage, with decorative borders to the foot, shoulders and neck, the shoulders set with a pair of mythical beast mask heads suspending fixed rings.
