A PAIR OF GEORGE I WALNUT AND YELLOW SILK UPHOLSTERED ARMCHAIRSCIRCA 1720Each with 'shepherd's crook' arms, above cabriole legs and pad feet 90cm high, 60cm wide overall Condition Report: There are some marks, scratches, chips, splits, abrasions consistent with age and use.Some sections of replacement and losses including to the arms of one chair in particular, with other smaller repairs to the arms and legs including some dowel or filler repairs. One arm a later replacement. The other three arms have been previously upholstered at some stage and there are signs of holes from upholstery tacks to the sides of the arms.There is evidence of some old worm.The upholstery is generally in good condition, although there is some glue discolouration to the edging braid and some sections of braid are detached.Please note we have not inspected the frame beneath the upholstery and can't comment on the condition and originality of this area.Please refer to the additional images for a visual reference of condition.
