A PAIR OF GILT-METAL CANDLESTICKS. late 19th Century, in the Neo-Grec taste, each with a cylindrical sconce beneath a beaded rim above a pierced circular drip pan cast as a rosette within a lattice ground, supported upon a seated winged griffin with a beaded crest and scrolling wings, its paws resting upon a stepped square plinth, the sides with scrolls and ball terminals and hung with a beaded chain and tablet.
