each surmounted by a broken-swan-neck pediment with a crest in the form of a martlet, with scrolls and foliage to the apron and sides, re-gilt

Condition Report:
This superb pair of mirrors have been conceived as a pair to face or be placed side by side to each other as the carved birds to each cresting face each other.
Re-gilt - but very well done and with traces of grey bole to isolated raised areas from rubbing. Plates are period but apparently re-silvered. Very minor lifting to applied carved elements. Cresting scrolls with sensitive repairs.
A very good and rare pair which are ready to place.
