IRAN, 18TH CENTURY, THE CALLIGRAPHIC BORDERS CARVED LATER
Each door with three ivory-inlaid panels within borders, the central panels decorated with two interlaced geometric star motifs set with ivory panels finely carved with floral motifs, scrolling arabesques and inscriptions, the panels above and below each with a geometric interlace set with similarly carved ivory panels, within deeply carved borders with kufic inscriptions on a scrolling ground, the reverse carved with a repeated pattern of stars and polygons, small losses to inlay, otherwise good condition
