A PAIR OF LARGE GREEN-PAINTED CARVED WOODEN PALM FRONDS, 20TH CENTURY

Condition Report:
Surface wear throughout with losses to painted surface, particularly at highest points of relief carving. Some losses to the carving itself, most occurring at highest points of relief. Heaviest losses to lower, palm tree 'trunk' relief edges and palm tree frond tips and edges. There have been repairs--old and new--to the carved tips of the palm trees. Some surface grit accumulation to tops of palm tree fronds commensurate with age; mostly out of view when installed
