A PAIR OF MASSIVE CANTON FAMILLE ROSE PUNCH BOWLS

Each painted to the well with a court official accompanied by attendants in a terraced garden surrounded by a continuous scene of court officials, attendants and Immortals holding auspicious attributes in a festive setting, the exterior decorated with variously shaped panels enclosing further courtly scenes, bordered by bands of lotus flowers and scrolling foliage against a dense background of finely painted auspicious emblems, a further band of butterflies, birds and insects amidst lychees, pomegranates and peonies beneath the rim to the interior and exterior, wood stands.
Each 60cm (23 5/8in) diam. (4).
