A PAIR OF NEOCLASSICAL REVIVAL CUT CRYSTAL TWO BRANCH WALL SCONCES, LATE 19TH /EARLY 20TH CENTURY, converted to electricity, with an ormolu mount issuing three snake shaped adornments and two scrolling branches, the cut glass holders and drip trays hung with strands of marquis drop stones. (2)

48cm high x 34cm wide x 27cm deep (measured without lustres)

Provenance: From a collection of furniture and antiques left to the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB ) in 1939 by Evelyn Stannus of Kensington. Items in the collection are believed to have come from Ireland. Since 1939 many objects from the collection have been on loan to the National Trust and this item has been displayed at Wordsworth House.
