Each rectangular plate flanked by draped ram's head terms with trailing flowerheads, surmounted by a broken pediment cresting finely carved with various military trophies and musical instruments, the inverted break-front apron carved with egg-and-dart moulding centred by an octagonal reverse-glass-painted plaque en grisaille depicting putti above a pierced flowerhead garland flanked by winged hearts, the crestings inscribed ‘Le Billet de Logement'?; traces of woodworm
24 ½ in. (62.5 cm.) high; 16 ¼ in. (41 cm.) wide
