Condition Report:
The first is in good condition with minor surface wear to the red lacquer, heaviest wear around feet and apron. Minor craquelure to the lacquer surface commensurate with age. Gold and black scenes in good condition with minor wear and losses. Interior of this cabinet is in good condition; doors and latches are operable and plum. Top surface is in good condition with little to no scratching. Telescoping table top is in good condition, both in operability and lacquered surface.

The second cabinet is in lesser condition than the first with heavy wear to surface especially around feet and apron, around door edges and where doors meet, and on cabinet's top surface. The lacquer has craquelure throughout with losses, heavier than the first cabinet. There is damage to both the doors, lower middle, where they meet; there is a four-inch split in the wood of the true left door. The black and gold painted scenes on this cabinet are more worn than the other with heavier craquelure in the lacquer and losses to both the lacquer scene and the lacquer body itself. The true left side lacquer scene is faint. The interior of this cabinet is in fair condition with both doors, hinges, and latches in operable and good condition. There are scratches and losses to the scene work on the top of this cabinet commensurate with heavier use than the first. Telescoping table top is in fair condition with wear to the surface of the lacquer; operability is in good condition.
