a pair of fine Russian Imperial Porcelain Factory Neo-Rococo style gilt candlesticks, each decorated with playing putti, dates to circa 1860s, signed A.Luk for the molder A. Lukin; height: 78 cm (30 3/4 in.)

LOT NOTES
Created for significant service ensembles and for decorating the interiors of the imperial family residences. Currently, only a few pairs are known to exist, in particular, in the collections of State Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg, Russia, Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens, Washington D.C., MD, and the Omsk Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after M.A. Vrubel, Omsk, Russia

Comes with a certificate of authenticity by Doctor E. Khmelnitskaya, the author of Vases or Imperial Porcelain Factory, Golubev's Collection.
Condition Report: CONDITIONThe candle sticks are in good condition, overall surface dust, no apparent chipping. Some rubbing to the gilt. Has been previously restored.
