A pair of travel flintlock pistols
dating: Second half of the 18th Century provenance: France, Smooth-bore, two-stage, 12 mm cal. barrel, octagonal and round, richly engraved with frames and gilded spirals in the first segment, then with rings at the girdle, finally with remains of a gold-inlaid sun and nozzle with moulded muzzle. Locks with slightly roundish plate. Wooden, full stock, with thin, metallic spirals on the back. Iron mounts. Beak-shaped butt-plates, counter-plates with a belt-hook. Iron ramrods. length 18,5 cm.
